We are starting to move from office 2016 to office 365 and i have a question about adding disabled features that a user might need later.

Say i deploy office 365 with MS access disabled, and a user later requests it. What's the best way of adding that for the user?

Would i create a second O365 application that includes all previous apps but with MS Access added, and then push that to our users Using MEMCM/SCCM?

Today, the way we do it is that a tech remotes in to the users computer and adds the feature via Add remove programs, but that can't be done anymore with Click to Run installers.

Yes, you would have an XML that includes all the previous components AND Access. If you just had an XML with Access for example, it is not cumulative and would remove all the other components. You need to state in the XML what you want the O365 install to look like and setup will set it.

If you are installing components from the internet then it is easy and it will pull the data it needs for the install. If you are installing the components from a package, then the whole O365 package needs to download to get Access installed.

One option if users re-install some components often and you want the install to be quicker and not download Office every time from a DP, is to have a package that caches it into a local folder and then your package just contains the XML that points to the local cache as the source.
