MS Project vsto not showing correct date for the task end date

I am developing a vsto add-on for MS Project, I am having a problem setting the date for the task finish date to 12:00 AM.
the date displayed by the MS Project file shows the day before at 5 PM

I am not understanding the reason behind this behavior in order to fix it.

your help is highly appreciated.
