Hi everyone,

I am contacting you as I would like to understand the following.

Context:

  • Intune standalone
  • Windows 10 LTSB 1607 machines
  • Machines are joined to AAD and enrolled into Intune
  • A group contains all my machines (1300 devices)
  • A Win32App application has been created/configured and tested to a bunch of test machines successfully
  • Win32App has been deployed to a group containing all my machines

Questions:

  • When I look at the application deployment report, the overview donut reports me a total of machine inferior to the number of devices enrolled in Intune and I do not understand why it does not show the total (1300) of my machines.
  • Which factor(s) influence the application deployment report apart if the install is successful, pending or failed?
  • Is there a limit of machines to deploy a Win32app to (i.e. max 1000) at a time?

Thanks a lot for your help,

Kr,

@Yop Thanks for posting in our Q&A. From your description, what did you mean Win32App deployment report? Is it "Device instll status" in intune portal? If there is any misunderstanding, please correct me.

For Q1: The following article describes the flow of win32 app deployment:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/mem/intune/develop-deliver-working-win32-app-via-intune#the-flow-behind-deployment-of-a-win32-application-from-intune
Based on my understanding, if the app doesn't reach to the device, the device will not send install status to intune. Given this situation, please make sure the devices connect to network. Then wait for some time and check if the number of the devices has increased.

For Q2: Based on my experience, successful, pending or failed status are all reported.

For Q3: There is no limit number of devices in a group to deploy win32 app.
