Task Sequence does not move smsts.log file after completing OS Upgrade

Hello Everyone,
I have been struggling on this weird issue where SMSTS Manager does not move smsts.log from CCM\logs\SMSTSLOG\SMSTS.LOG to CCM\Logs folder. I have several machines where OS upgrade was successfully completed and smsts.log is sitting on following lines and not exiting the process by moving log to CCM\Logs folder.. The Task Sequence is reporting back to console as its completed but on the machine it shows below..
-------smsts.log----last few lines---
Setting TS Install State to 3
Update MDM_EnrollmentStatusTracking_Tracking03_02.ProvisioningTS setting InstallationState with value 3
Create MDM_EnrollmentStatusTracking_Tracking03_02 instance
Successfully updated MDM_EnrollmentStatusTracking_Tracking03_02.ProvisioningTS setting InstallationState with value 3
LOGGING: Setting log directory to "C:\WINDOWS\CCM\Logs"

--------end of smsts.log------

I have tried starting SMSTSMGR service a few times hoping it will trigger the incomplete process to continue but it just won't terminate and keep saying above lines.

I wonder if anyone knows how to let SMSTSMGR know to complete the process and move the log to CCM\logs folder and delete SMSTSLOG folder?

Thank you in advance
Hunzai

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply.

Per my experience, it's hardly to change the smsts.log location manually. However, you could refer to below blog for better understanding about SMSTS.log:

    Best regards,
    Simon
