Cannot sign into my Windows 10 laptop with my Azure Active Directory account :'(

I have registered an online domain via the GoDaddy Operating Company, LLC and then added an email account with Microsoft 365 Business Premium subscription.

Then via the Start -> Settings -> Accounts -> Access for Work or School -> Add a Work or School Account I have connected or linked my Windows 10 machine to my Azure Active Directory account using the email address/account.

The operation was successful, and I can also see an AzureAD\FirstnameLastname record in the Family & Other Users tab.

Now when I try signing into my laptop by choosing Other User and then typing in the corresponding login credentials, it says that it does not recognize this user or account, or the password is incorrect.

How come??? Isn't this account already in the system??

    @Andrew Thanks for reaching out.

    For being able to login to the Windows machine using the Azure AD account, you must use the Azure AD join option while connecting it to Azure.
    Once the device is joined to Azure AD then only you can sign in using the AAD credentials. This is the way to do it :

    Instead, if you just use the connect option under Access work or school account, it just registers the computer account in AAD, as Azure AD registered, on which you will not be able to login using the Azure AD creds. On Azure Portal, here is how Azure AD joined and Azure AD registered looks like :

    Let me know if you have any questions.
