Malware detection not working in blob storage with defender

Hi,
We are building an app with a dropbox-like storage space where our users can upload all types of documents.
We recently enabled Azure defender, to detect potential malware uploaded by our users in storage containers. I tested it by uploading a malware .exe file using Azure File Explorer, and everything worked fine, I received an alert a few minutes afterwards, etc...

BUT when uploading the same file via our app (using a write SAS and a http PUT request on this SAS), no alert is triggered, and never is, even after several hours... Is there some configuration missing ? Or an option to enable somewhere ?

Thanks
