hey all! been having NMI_Hardware_Failure messages on my Acer Nitro 5 laptop literally a week after manufactures warranty expired! Upgrade to Windows 11 (fresh clean install, all drivers are up to date, BIOS is current...)

Any ideas deciphering this would be very helpful

    Hello @MarkEggan,

Seems too much of a coincidence to be exactly a faulty hardware. In this case since GenuineIntel.sys is to blame, I would be looking in Latest chipset drivers from manufacturer, BIOS versions, etc.. bear in mind that there may be really frequent updates when a new OS version launches to paliate some bug discoveries from the hardware manufacturers.

On the other hand, I would suggest to check on your BIOS setting for any kind of performance plans or overclocking (I have seen already such errors with dynamic plans that change voltage/frequency on demand). I would try to (first save your BIOS settings) set the BIOS defaults, and disable any kind of dynamic performance or battery saving settings.

Otherwise, I may be recommended to open a question to the manufacturer forums since you may not be the only affected user.

Hope this helps with your query,

Thank you - I do have an open topic on Acer's site. Everything else above you mentioned had been attempted. I appreciate your help and will certainly post my results here for any others that might be experiencing the same issue
