File sharing has stopped working after the upgrade to Monterey
When sharing a document or PDF I get a beep and nothing happens
When sharing in HTML format Outlook opens (it is not my default mail client)

    • Are there any error messages when this issue occurs? If yes, please describe them in detail or share screenshots with us.
    • How did you share these files? Please refer to: Share your file in Word for Mac to check.
    • Do all Office files have this issue? Such as, .doc, .xlsx and .pptx files.

    Per my research, I would suggest that you try to open your Mac in safe mode to check this issue:

    1. Turn on or restart your Mac, and then hold down the Shift key as the Mac starts immediately.
    2. Release the key when you see the login window, and the"Safe Boot" should appear in the upper right corner.
    3. Log in to your Mac.

    I have exactly the same problem. I can't really see how safe mode would do anything here. Basically, 'Share document', 'Share workbook', 'Send presentation' and 'Share PDF' don't work anymore across the Office suite since updating to Monterey, I just get a beep. Very annoying!

    I'm having this same issue with microsoft office for mac (2019). i've restarted my computer multiple times, and uninstalled and reinstalled the whole office suite - no change. just a single beep every time i try to share or send a file from any office product (using File - Share - send document, the send document/workbook shortcut on the quick access toolbar, or the send a copy option from the share button, email as attachment)

    are there any updates? this is a feature i use multiple times a day, so it's been driving me nuts today to have no luck fixing it! (just got a new computer this week - Macbook pro 13 in with M1 chip)

    Same issue - I use Spark email. Changed to Mail and that worked. So, it will not use a third party app - Apple does it again!
