Links unaccessible in Visio File when opened with Internet Explorer 11 & Visio Viewer 2016

How to access links embedded in Visio File opened with Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) & Visio Viewer 2016?

Is Visio Viewer 2016 only view option from Microsoft for Visio when using IE11 ?

These Files are flowcharts containing links to documents.

P.S.

  1. I experience this problem now but not in Nov 2019; these files are modified January 2020
  2. Can Visio version that modified them cause above problem? As SharePoint non-admin user, there seems no way to view Visio version?

    Personally, I found the following information from this article: Use Visio Viewer to view or print Visio drawings, please check if it helps you.

    • Visio Viewer doesn't display stencils, panes, rulers, guides, and guide points. Visio Viewer also doesn't support embedded DGN drawings, rotated pages, more than one hyperlink associated with a shape, hyperlinks associated with the drawing page, and drawing page properties.
