Define address book for new contact in Outlook 365 app

I created a custom address book in Outlook on a Windows machine and named it eg. "clients". This address book is shared with everyone in the office. Now I recently installed the Outlook 365 app on my android phone. The contacts from "clients" are perfectly synchronized and have a blue label called "clients" underneath. When I want to add a new contact it only gets created in my "my contacts" address book. How can I specify/force to be "clients" my default address book for newly created contacts? As far as I can see there is an option in the calendar settings to define the default calendar to be "clients" - why not the same option for contacts?

    Hi @Fabian ,

How can I specify/force to be "clients" my default address book for newly created contacts?

I am afraid this is not feasible. Based on my test and research, currently the default contact folder cannot be changed in Outlook for mobile, and the newly created contacts can only be saved in "Contacts". In this case, you can use the outlook desktop to move the contact to your preferred folder.

I’ve tried submitted this feature request via the in-app “Suggest a Feature” option in my Outlook for android. You can also make a suggestion via In-app help : Go to Settings > Help & Feedback > Suggest a Feature.
