Hello

I have the following drawback, we are creating two hyper-v clusters with two nodes each cluster.

When executing the cluster validation wizard, all the categories of the wizard go success, but the system configuration indicates a warning, attached image:

It refers to pending updates and asks to restart both servers. I have already restarted the servers, however the warning continues to appear.

Investigating a bit in the warning message, they say that it is because the server does not have communication with the windows update servers. The server has no internet connection, it has a proxy configured.

However, I would like some support in validating what can be done in this case.

With this warning message in the cluster validation wizard, can I create the cluster without problems?

    Hi @lra ,

You can create the cluster if you have warnings only, not if you have errors.

The QFE error may appear if a proxy has been configured incorrectly, if you want to get past this you could remove the proxy configuration during the creation of the cluster and reapply it after the cluster has been created.

Regarding the pending updates, it is a fairly common one, I wouldn't worry much about that one, it's not going to do any harm really.

Warnings occurs to let you know that the process flow is not perfect but same time it is not a potential barrier for Validating Failover Cluster.

You can also use Windows PowerShell cmdlet, to run a set of focused validation tests. You can run this process on a collection of servers that you intend to use as nodes in a cluster.

You can dig more about this from here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/it-pro/windows-server-2012-r2-and-2012/jj134244(v=ws.11)
