Can my add-in be added / activated automatically?

Hello, I'm developing an add-in for email authentication.

Right now the user has to activate the add-in within the "compose" interface, and inject the "on-send" scripts manually.

I would like the user to only do this once, rather than for every message; so once this add-in is installed, it will automatically activate and inject scripts to new messages without user action.

Is this programmatically possible?
Is there a way to do this via Outlook's UI?
