Office 2021 LTS and Onedrive for Business (Groove)

Hi,

I'm looking into deploying Office 2021 LTS (offline) but I'm missing the option to install the Onedrive for Business (groove). As we're still using SharePoint 2016, we still need groove.

I was very supprised to see that it's no longer part of the office installer as SharePoint 2016 is still supported.

Is there another way to deploy Onedrive for Business (groove) next to Office 2021 LTS? I did find an installer for Onedrive for Business (groove), but the /download doesn't seem to work.

    Please note that "Support for the previous OneDrive for Business sync app (Groove.exe) ended on January 11, 2021". But we could also install and use it with SharePoint Server 2016 or earlier.

    1. Download the Office Deployment Tool, double-click OfficeDeploymentTool.exe to extract the file to a folder, such as C:\ODT folder.
    2. Copy the following content into a text file, then copy it to the C:\ODT folder and rename it to AddODB.xml. (If your Office is 32-bit, please change the "64" to "32".) <Configuration>

      <Language ID="en-us" />
      <ExcludeApp ID="Access" />
      <ExcludeApp ID="Excel" />
      <ExcludeApp ID="Lync" />

      <ExcludeApp ID="Outlook" />
      <ExcludeApp ID="PowerPoint" />
      <ExcludeApp ID="Publisher" />
      <ExcludeApp ID="Teams" />

      </Add>
      <Updates Enabled="TRUE" />
      </Configuration>
    3. Launch Command Prompt as administrator, run the following command to install Groove.exe. cd /d C:\ODT
      setup.exe /configure AddODB.xml

    If you want to install offline, we need to run the following command on a computer that can connect to the network to download the Groove.exe installation file, then copy the entire C:\ODT folder to the Server, and then execute the command in step 3 to install . 

    cd /d C:\ODT  
setup.exe /download AddODB.xml
