factory reset android without having password/access to device on intune company portal

Unfortunately, we have users who forgot their device password or return locked phones. So we don't have access to the phones (Samsung A50 or 52) to reset them. The devices are not shown in the intune company portal either or cannot be wiped there.
Is there any way to factory reset them? otherwise the phones are not usable any longer.

@Katja Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

For this issue, we can factory reset the target android device via company portal app in another managed device.

Please make sure that the user in another managed device is the same user that you used to enroll the android device.

For example, the following picture shows the page that factory reset the android device via the company portal in my iOS device.

    Hope it will help.

Your only option here is to do a hard reset on the device. You need to check your vendor documentation (Samsung) on how to do a hard reset on Samsung Galaxy phones.
