Hi

I have an error logged every other hour, with event ID 4096 in hyper-V-Config under Admin.

So this VM in question was deleted some 2 years ago and suddenly this pops up.
What I need is a save way to get rid of this error?
Can I just delete the XML and folder from:?
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Hyper-V\Virtual Machines

Or is there a better way?

    Hi

I just removed those files in question, that fixed Event 4096 errors
But as I deleted those files it started giving me new errors: Event ID 3280 (0x80042318) for a bunch of VM's.
It turned out to be because vmguest.iso was connected to those VM's, just ejected those iso's and all is fine now;)

    Hi there,

Great to hear that it has been resolved . This event is logged when the configuration of a virtual machine is not accessible, the system cannot find the specified path or the configuration is deleted.

If you get this error again check the configuration for Virtual Machine and the path is correct or not.
