One of the Windows 10 2004x64 client is not getting windows updates from SCCM. Could you please assist on this. Below is the WUAHandler.log:

Scan failed with error = 0x80244022 error indicates issue with IIS. However, if it is just one client that has errors then the issue should be isolated. Is the client healthy?
Yes, this is the issue with one or the few clients. Client status is healthy.
What about software update scan? I bet that is broken for you. Try rebuilding the software distribution repository under c:\windows. See if that resets the scan.
As you can see in the above snapshot that the last software scan date is 07/12/2021. I am not sure if it is broken or not. Could you please guide me how to check this, if it is broken or not and how to repair the channel?

I was referring to update scan and not software inventory scan. Stop the Windows update service on the client machine in question. Rename the software distribution folder to something like Software Distribution.old, then start the Windows update service again. This should create a new Software Distribution folder. Initiate an update scan from ConfigMgr applet in control panel and check if that fixes things or not.
Thank you for the explanation. I did all steps as mentioned above but error is still same in WUAHandler.log. I noticed there is "Reporting Events.log" file in software distribution folder. Log file is 157759-reportingevents.logattached
This is typical error for SUP, when your SUSDB is overloaded or you have too much updates applying to a client. I suggest to clean up your SUP deployments, obsolete and expired updates and also targeting. Additionaly, you may have to clean up SUSDB with scripts.
The issue is with only windows updates, however clients are getting windows defender updates without any issues. The problem is with approx 50 client machines. and approx 9000 machines are getting updates without any issues.
Every month cleanup performed for obsolete and expired updates.

I totally agree with RahulJindal-2267 . I found the following error code in the WUAHandler.log:
The error tip indicate that the WSUS/SUP IIS configurations are not fine. Please try to follow this link and confirm whether the solution is helpful or not. Note that the link is not from MS, just for your reference.

If you are looking for the soltuion fix the error code 0x80244022, I recommend you to disable your anti-virus software temporarily, especially if you are using a third-party one.
