SCCM 2012 r2 prerequisites download error

Question

I am trying to install SCCM 2012 r2 in test environment on windows 2012 r2 server with SQL 2012 server evvery thing is fine "prereqchk " result is also ok. when I start inatll SCCM 2012 at the page download prerequisite download it give error i try to find error on net and did every step suggested at site but problem is same also try to download prerequisit offline even on seprate system but no success . can any body help me

Hello sorry to revive this old topic but I went to install SCCM 2012 r2 and I came across the same problem, from what I understand I can't download the prerequisites because it lost support right?

Can anyone tell me if I can update the SCDPM 2012 r2 that I have installed and if it has support for backing up exchange 2019?

Sorry again but I took the opportunity to put my 3 doubts, if here is not the correct place please orient me.

Thank you for coming Microsoft Q&A forum.

1.SCCM 2012 R2 is a very old version and can't support Windows 10, it's recommended that you install the latest Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager current branch version 2002/2006 (SCCM 2002/2006) to get better support. For more information about SCCM installation, please refer to:

2.Please help check whether the Service Account you used is able to connect to SQL Server database or not. We can perform a UDL test:

I am trying to install SCCM 2012 R2 as well and cannot download prerequisite files.

If I check the log file I see that installer is trying to download manifest files. Nevertheless, the files no longer available.
For example, if you try http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=529497 , you will get 404 not found.

Could somebody please advise if there is some kind of archive available for older versions of SCCM, where all prerequisite files could be found?

Hi,

May we know which exact version you are trying to install, System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager or System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager Service Pack 1? For older versions of SCCM, you could try System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager Service Pack 1, as System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager is not applicable any more. However, we suggest that you use the latest Configuration Manager current branch to get better support for Windows 10. For the product life cycle, please refer to:

I have been trying to download prerequisites of SCCM 2012 R2 on a Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter OS, but ran into the same issue. I have been trying to install SCCM 2012 R2 SP2. The error messages I have encountered are as follows:
