Hello,
I have a couple of questions regarding Azure files. The first one is regarding security. Typically, when we have set up file shares on a Windows File Server, we would give the 'domain admins' account full access to the 'share' through the share permissions. When I setup the file share in Azure files, I can access the share using a user account when I go to \stazurestoreaccount.file.core.windows.net\share (as I have added that user to the SMB Share Elevated Contributor role assignment). How do you add the domain admin account to the same role as this group does not appear in my Azure Active Directory.
This storage account has been joined to our on-premise domain. I am trying to get DFS Namespace to work whereby when I go to \oldfileserver\share it will redirect to \stazurestoreaccount.file.core.windows.net\share
I have followed the guide to the letter in the below link but it is still not working. If I just go to \oldfileserver, it takes me to my DFS Namespace server so I see all their shares. In there, I see my #oldfileservershare and then when I click on this, this takes me to the azure file share. Essentially, if I go to \oldfileserver#oldfileserver\share then it works but I want it to go to \oldfileserver\share.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
Many thanks,
Luke
