Sharepoint Online Classic sites Structured navigation settings not saved

Question

So our client has this SPOnline Intranet built on 2016 and it is using only classic sites. The site architecture is sitecollection->subsite->subsite etc. We and our client knows that this is the old way but they are not ready yet to reconstruct the whole architecture to rely only on site collections and ditch the subsites. Anyway they are using Managed navigation as the top navigation ("Global navigation") and structured navigation as the left side navigation ("Current navigation"). I'm having trouble to hide,delete or make visible links with structural navigation. Whatever setting I choose and hit OK the changes are not being saved. Here for example I'm trying to hide those subsites (highlighted with yellow) from the left navigation and when I hit OK it doesn't change anything... and when I go back to the settings those sites does not show as hidden. ![195443-image.png][1] [1]: /api/attachments/195443-image.png?platform=QnA This has worked before without problems and it has been broken now for at least two months, that's when our client noticed it.

Hi anonymous user,

1.You could uncheck "Show subsites" and "Show pages" > OK then open Navigation Settings check "Show subsites" and "Show pages" options again.

2.Navigation Settings > Structural Navigation: Refresh Cache > Refresh

Ok, we found that some of our customizations are not compliant anymore with SPO and renaming/removing couple .js files fixes the issue.

Apparently some update to SPO has broken these.
