Acess a Azure VM's disk from Azure portal

I created a data disk in azure and attach it to a VM as hard disk E. How can I use Azure portal access this data disk remotely? So that I may load/unload files to this data disk either via VM or Azure portal.

    have you tried sftp?
    using-sftp-for-remote-file-transfer-from-command-line
