shared onedrive folder disaapears after initial access

i have external customer sharing a folder with me via onedrive .

initially i can access the folder no problem . (meaning the email below contains the link where i can access the folder)

However if i close the webpage and try to re-access the folder its no longer available .

if i go to my onedrive portal and check under "shared" i cannot see this folder

Is this a setting somewhere in our teams admin panel? seems weird.

When i go back to the original email its empty.

    Hi, @dirkdigs
    Whether the sharer has set the permission to connect and share, such as the expiration time.

    Whether the sharer has moved the folder, moving the folder may make you lose permissions.
    Can you ask the sharer to share other folders to see if there are similar problems?
    Whether the administrator in the sharer's organization has set permission to link sharing.
