Error: Unable to migrate users. The conflict merge option is not valid for intra-forest migrations. The parameter is incorrect

I try to use ADMT 3.2, but ADMT, in intra-forest scenario move account (and not copy), and i need to copy account.

Client wants to restructure several domain (2003) in one new domain (2008 R2), in the same forest.
I tried all options using command line and GUI, I tried to pre-create target accounts and use MERGE param as well as not the have a target account pre-created and just migrate the source account. ADMT MOVES the accounts in all cases.

Is there a way to COPY the account for INTRA-FOREST migrations?

I know it works for INTER FOREST but I can't make it work for this INTRA-FOREST use cases.

Thank you!

I found the answer already because I needed the answer fast. It is not possible. Also validated in the lab that there is no workaround to do it.

It is an expected behavior using ADMT tool in intra-forest migration where during migration of user object is deleted form the source domain and moved to the target domain. You can use Quest tool for migration which provide feature to rollback feature like keep object disabled during intraforest migration but its a paid tool.
