Running a report for Compliance 5 - Specific computer not getting any results for a specific device compared for a different device.

As an example 'Device1' would get the specific updates that are either 'Approved', 'Installed' and/or 'Is Required'.

For 'Device2', It shows non.

What logs and what ports (firewall) Should I be looking for probable cause for 'Device2'? I've tried looking at 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services\SSRS\LogFiles' but haven't seen any specific for Device1 or Device2.

    Hi @Kody

    Please login on the SQL server reporting services configuration manager, and click the tab of Web portal URL, use the URL to check if it is same as the console. Actually, the reports on the sccm console is from the SQL.

    If so, we should check if the Device 2 is normal on the SCCM console, the green iron shows it is normal. Overall, normal client can show the reports in the console and report the data to the SQL.

    Here is the list of log file and what they are used for. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/plan-design/hierarchy/log-files
    From your screenshot it is clean that device2 is no returning results to cm. This could be a million things. Start by checking that the device is healthy.

    Hi @Amandayou-MSFT ,

    Yes, I get the same results for 'Device2' using the web portal for the Reporting service.

    I've also verified that 'Device2' has a green status and client

    @Garth ,

    Thanks for the URL link to Log file reference. I've checked srsrp.log, srsrpsetup.log and srsrpMSI.log files using CMTrace and could not find any are flagged and any references to 'Device2'.

    Could this be firewall related...? I'm not sure that port would it need open. From the config mgr, I can a open a share to the Device2's C: drive. The reason I'm asking if firewall, another group has control of the subnet firewall that Device2 is in.

    It will not be related to the reports or reporting point themselves, it will be the health of the client. You need to review the client's health to see why it is not returning results.

    @Amandayou-MSFT ,

    Sorry it took a while to get back, had to wait to fix the network firewall and client over the 3 day weekend. It turns out that the firewall was changed recently and to be re-adjusted by IT group who manages the subnet. The report wasn't really getting all the information from Device2. I then reinstalled the client, per your suggestion, on Device2- the re-install did the trick.
