I didn't performed any other operation, I just converted the 4.8 frame work project to .Net 6 using "upgrade-assistant" tool opened the converted project in Visual studio 2022 and Rebuild the project, and also i cleaned the solution and rebuild still the error appears.
And I have Visual Studio 2019 and Visual Studio 2022 both in my machine does this cause any conflict ???

Different versions of Visual Studio can be installed side-by-side, don’t worry.
Could you tell me what kind of project you are developing and what workloads you have installed in VS 2022?
If you try to create a new project which dependent on .NET 6, and then build it, will this new project built successfully?
Besides, please open CMD and type
dotnet --infoto make sure that .NET 6 was installed well. And please try to use this SFC tool to repair any corrupted system files.Regards,

I have created a class library which make http request and I have installed .NET Desktop development and Data Storage and processing workload.
I Created the new console application (.NET 6) , even that is showing the same error.

dllfile, or NuGet package which may be still based on the .NET Framework 4.8, instead of .NET 6.0?I created the new console application (.NET 6), even that is showing the same error.
Did you add some codes or references in this newly created project? Does new project which based on .NET 5.0/.NET 3.1 works?

2022-06-23T09:09:22.973+00:00 hi @Tianyu Sun-MSFT no it doesn't have any DLLof .Net Framework 4.8, answering your second question I did not add any single line of code or any reference DLL for the newly created console application(6.0) and tried to create , .NET5.0 and .NET 3.1 Console application and tried to build the application without adding any code or reference DLL even they are giving the same error
