After Azure AD username rename, some places on local computer and M365 still showing old username

A user asked me to change his account name in Azure AD, which I did (actually did it through GoDaddy UI but end result is change of user principal name). The account name has changed in most places on his Teams and email (after signing out and signing back in) but there are still some odds and ends where the old name shows up, such as on his user account, or on another user's Teams.

His account is Azure AD joined. Are there any other places I need to change his name besides the User Principal Name in Azure AD? Or do I need to manually run a sync (don't know how)? Or should he disconnect his Azure AD account on his computer and then rejoin it?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

It seems local account name does not sync with Azure AD automatically. It seems we will go with creating a new local account and connect that to Azure AD. At the same time disconnect his current Azure AD joined account, which should delete it. That should take care of places where his old name appears on local computer. However, I'm still unsure why some people are seeing his old username in Teams.
