Teams IMs do not appear in my Teams window

I have an employee who's IMs in Microsoft Teams do not display in the Teams window when she clicks on the particular chat. She has to double click to make it appear in a separate window. How do we fix the setting so that when she clicks on an IM once on the left side, that it appears in the typical window to it's right?

    Hi @Daniel Aronovitz

    Do you mean you want to the IM displayed in the separate window by clicking user one time?

    If so, you could move your mouse to the user you want to chat and you will see this option "Pop Out chat'. Try to click it you could open it in a separate windows.
