Hi,

We have a scenario where we are migrating everything from one office 365 tenant to another and the only question that is left is user profiles. All users are login in locally with azure ad account and all devices are enrolled into intune. All devices are getting stuff through intune (apps, scripts etc..)Now the big question is how to migrate profiles or how to switch profiles to a new tenant. What we need to do?

Users are unable to add or login with the new aad account. What to do in this scenario?

There is no direct path to migrate between tenants when it comes to managing devices. In my opinion, reset and re-enroll using Autopilot will be the best course of action.

@Kak Tak Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

As RahulJindal said, there is no direct method to migrate from one tenant to another. It is needed to unenroll the devices from old tenant and re-enroll them to new tenant. Please refer to the following link to get more information about migration:

Hope it will give you some ideas.

I have a similar situation. Our company is changing domains .org to .com. Is there a way to change the Azure AD domain locally logged in profile from test@test .org to test@test .com and keep all of the apps settings files and folders? The same as if you were to rename a local profile and still have access to all the apps, settings, files and folders. Both domains will be controlled in the same Azure AD and have alias linked to the .org.

If I understand correctly, this is a very different scenario than what this thread was about as this thread is about changing tenants but you are asking about updating UPNs. If so, please start here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/hybrid/howto-troubleshoot-upn-changes
