Hello,

I'm a network engineer and couldn't get answer from our monitoring team (we use SCOM) and have a question if it's possible to setup monitoring for two separate port-channels in such a way that when port-channel A is up and port-channel B is down and vice versa it's not generating alert but it's generating alert when both of them are down at the same time?

    Hi @Depta, Michal ,

You could consider using aggregate rollup monitors for your network interfaces, for more information see:

    Aggregate Monitors
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/system-center/system-center-2012-R2/hh457599(v=sc.12)

You can also check my blog post about it over here:

@Depta, Michal , From your description, I know you want to generate alert only when both A and B port-channel are down. If there' s any misunderstanding, please let us know.

Based on my experience, aggregate monitor can help. We can set "Health Rollup Policy" as Best state. It will matches the state of the child monitor with the best health state. We can see more details in the following link:

    Hope it can help.
