In my eagerness to cleanup an unused AD tenant, I deleted a couple of azure functions that had managed identities specified for them. Now, I'm being blocked on being able to delete the AD tenant as these managed identities are still showing up as enterprise applications. I've attempted to delete these now disconnected identities from both the portal and powershell; however the deletions fail with 'Access Denied' errors even though I'm logged in as Global Admin for said AD tenant.
How do I resolve this so I can delete the unused tenant as desired?

@WDSpider Thanks for reaching out. If you say that you are a global admin and still you get a Access Denied error, you need to contact the Microsoft support to be able to delete it.
