I have had a student subscription that expired, and I am trying to recover some files on the storage resource associated with the VM/server that I was running. I can not upgrade unfortunately as I do not have a credit card yet, but I really need my files as I worked on them for a long time, I didn't get a warning that my credits were about to run about, so I had no idea. All I want is the files I have on the VM.
Any idea on how to get them back?
You'll need to reactivate it then recover the files.

Doesn't help. Reactivating the subscription redirects me to the upgrade page where I need to add a payment method, and as I said above, I cannot do it this way as I do not have a credit card.
The supported payment methods for Microsoft Azure are credit cards, debit cards, and check wire transfer.

I have neither of those, is there any other way, I only need to download my files I do not want to keep using the VM.
As far as I know there isn't another way. you can try submitting a ticket here.
