Azure Migrate limit discovery on VCenter server

Hello,

a customer asked us to migrate their on-premise VMs to Azure using Azure Migrate. We would like to use the agentless version as they are VMs on VMware infrastructure.
However, the VMware infrastructure is shared with other customers and we would like to limit discovery to only the customer VMs.
I found this link that indicates how to configure the scope
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/migrate/set-discovery-scope

In this way the scope of discovery would be limited only to the VMs to which I assign the permission.

Do you have any experience or can you confirm that this is the case?

Thanks

Vincent

@Vincent Manzari Sorry for the delay in response to your query. Really appreciate your time and patience.

Yes, you are referring to the right link - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/migrate/set-discovery-scope. As the guidance states, you can discover only a specific customer’s VMs by granting access to only those VMs on the vCenter account you use for discovery.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need any further assistance in this matter.
