Azure DevOps and CI/CD for Entities on VM SQL Server

We have a proposal to migrate our VM SQL Server Entities to Azure DevOps and CI/CD.

We have a couple of VM SQL Servers that we maintain with a few Databases on each.

Personally...I think it's a BAD IDEA to migrate our VM SQL Server Entities to Azure DevOps and CI/CD.

First of all...our one server is for our third party application. There is NO WAY that our 3rd Party guys are going to follow our CI/CD rules when they need to deploy something to the VM SQL Server in which their 3rd Party Database and Entities reside.

I also think, in general, it's just a bad idea to migrate our VM SQL Server Entities to Azure DevOps simply for CI/CD reasons. I just feel like leave well enough alone for the VM stuff.

Does anyone have an opinion regarding this?

I have been told that there are tools and specifically Red Gate tools that will migrate our VM SQL Server Entities to Azure DevOps and CI/CD.

I am hoping for opinions that I can go back to our Management and tell them this is a bad idea.

Has anyone attempted to migrate VM SQL Server Entities to Azure DevOps and CI/CD?

I will do my due diligence to determine if it's possible and how. Just looking for opinions and guidance from individuals that may have previously gone down this rabbit hole.

Thanks in advance for your review and am hopeful for some solid, good replies.
