What's new in Microsoft Vaccination Management

This article provides information about the new features in Microsoft Vaccination Management for each release.

July 2021 release

Feature Changes
Provider management portal Provider admins can create call center agents who can manage residents and appointments across all vaccination sites for the provider they're associated with.

Provider admins manage access control of call center agent and site manager roles to all or specific vaccination sites owned by a provider. Site managers usually have access to a single provider site, while call center agents have full access (view, edit, update) to all sites owned by a provider.

Call center agents can only view resident registration and vaccination details of a different provider, and don't have permissions to edit.

Site managers can create events and associate an event code with a schedule and site location.

Improved messaging for the site providers and site managers while performing bulk cancellation actions to inform them when the activity is complete in the background.
Resident registration and booking portal Minors can book vaccination appointments by providing the names of a parent or guardian during the registration process.

Residents can add a preferred name during registration.

Residents can see a location description on the location card when choosing a location for an appointment.

Resident can look up registration details when booking their appoint for Dose 1 and Dose 2 with different providers.
Support management portal (preview) Support staff can change dose information, which allows them to make a second dose appointment if residents report they've already received the first dose elsewhere.

Support staff can view additional information, including the QR code for an appointment. They can print QR codes.

Support staff can view and edit consent provider information for minors.

Support staff can have limited access to a provider.

Support staff can manage preferred names for residents.

Support staff actions are audited.
Frontline worker app Check-in staff can view and edit parent or guardian information for minors at the vaccination site.
