Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Service Update 183 Release Notes


Service Update 183 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.1.0 is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in Service Update 183.

Important

Note: Service Update naming convention has been revised to clarify the link between the version number and Service Update number. For example, Service Update 150 will now correspond to version number 150xx. Occasionally a Service Update will be canceled and all associated fixes will be rolled into a subsequent Service Update. For this reason, Service Update numbers may not always increase incrementally.

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues whose resolutions repair items in Dynamics that are not functioning.

Accessibility

  • Keyboard navigation did not work after selecting ‘sort older to newer’ within the timeline.
  • When uploading an image, the user interface contained an incorrect color contrast within the border of the "choose color" button.
  • The voice over focus remained in the background after receiving the ‘Manage Attachment’ dialog when adding an attachment to an email.
  • When attempting to create a new record within a timeline, the accessibility screen reader did not narrate the menu items within the fly-out in the correct order.
  • When editing connections during new flow creation, the button was not highlighted with a dotted border.
  • Keyboard navigation did not work after selecting ‘more options’ within the timeline.
  • When using the Quick Create form, the accessibility screen reader did not narrate the "save and close" button option within the drop-down menu.
  • Keyboard focus would move after editing or deleting a note on the timeline.
  • When attempting to create a new record within a timeline, the accessibility screen reader did not narrate the menu items within the fly-out in the correct order.

Admin and Lifecycle Management

  • An error occurred when attempting to perform provisioning and restore or copy environments in an organization, when a security group was enabled.*

Knowledge Management

  • When using the Quick Create feature to create a form record, the lookup control field did not display the new record data.*
  • Not all records had loaded in the Dashboard Timeline.
  • When expanding a note record with a long title, the next page of records had displayed.
  • The incorrect conversation status was shown in the Omnichannel timeline.*
  • The plus icon above "Get started" in the Timeline filter in the was misaligned in higher display resolutions.

Outlook

  • When attempting to “Set Regarding” in Outlook, the message “Processing. Please wait” was displayed and would not proceed.*

Platform Services

  • A subset of newly created contacts were not synchronized to Exchange.
  • Tasks created with a due date or start date would not sync to Exchange when ACT sync was enabled.
  • In Outlook, tasks created with the Feature Control Bits setting turned off were processed a second time when the Feature Control Bits setting was turned on.
  • Emails could be sent from two separate tabs.

Sales

  • Translation of "yes" and "no" was inconsistent with language set to Japanese.
  • The ‘Cancel’ button was not localized to Japanese within when selecting the ‘Phone’ activity.
  • Roll-up queries for opportunity goals were displaying some opportunities twice if the opportunity line items having same product.
  • If the filer contained a linked entity with 1:N relationship, the goal rollup query had showed the wrong number of results.

Solutions

  • In the Customer Service Hub, the Holiday Schedule form did not respond when the "save and close" button was selected.

Unified Interface

  • A subset of logical attributes were missing in the Field Properties menu.
  • When creating a custom activity form using the Quick Create feature, the user interface did not display the form when creating a new custom activity from the Dashboard.*
  • An error occurred when multiple solution imports did not finish installation due to the absence of a sitemap within the app module.*
  • When attempting to use a fly-out menu to modify an automation template in the Unified Interface, the user interface displayed a message that contained incorrect dialog.
  • The “Choose File” button was unresponsive when attempting to upload a on fields with 'type file' on the Contact form.
  • The mailbox configuration form failed to load.*
  • The low density header was no longer visible after refreshing the page when editing an account record with a low density setting on the account form.*
  • After creating an account and saving, the page intermittently directed back to the entity record grid.*
  • When using the Dynamics 365 Field Service (preview) app, on Android, attempting to download Offline metadata would stick at initializing.*
  • When attempting to sort and filter columns in a data table, the user interface did not display drop down menus.
  • On mobile devices, the user interface contained the dialog, "no data available" when no data was present within the related items section.
  • In offline mode, the user interface did not load all of the page elements when attempting to open a Booking form.
  • When using a quick create form, selecting the "Save and Create New" option caused the form to save and close.

The following list details issues whose resolutions correct actions that produce errors, unhandled exceptions, or system or component failures.

Platform Services

  • Replying to emails with the subject line removed failed.
  • An error had occurred when attempting to publish all customizations for a solution.*
  • An error occurred when attempting to sign in to the Unified Interface following a security role assignment.

Sales

  • An error occurred when opening Work Orders or Activities from a Bookings entity both online and offline with the Field Service Mobile app on Android.*
  • An error occurred when creating Work Orders, Booking timings, and Activities on Android.*
  • An error occurred when attempting to enable server based integration in the document management section in Share Point.*

Solutions

  • An error occurred when activating routing rules.*

Unified Interface

  • On mobile in offline mode, an error occurred when attempting to view the Booking menu.
  • An error occurred when attempting to use a custom script to hide specific form tabs while using the Quick Create form.*
  • When using the latest version of the App for Outlook, a banner containing the message "You are using the deprecated Dynamics 365 for Outlook. Please upgrade to Dynamics 365 App for Outlook at the earliest" was displayed.*
  • An error occurred when attempting to perform a solution upgrade due to the presence of soft deleted app modules.*
  • An error occurred when creating new account records in Internet Explorer 11.*
  • An error occurred when opening a URL through Field Service Mobile app.
