Set an e-mail delivery schedule

To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the Domain Admins security group.
Start the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard. To start the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard, click Start, and then click Server Management. In the console tree, click Internet and E-mail. In the details pane, click Connect to the Internet.
Follow the wizard instructions until you reach the Internet E-mail page. At this point, ensure that Enable Internet e-mail is selected, and then click Next.

To configure the e-mail delivery schedule, it is recommended that you use the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard. The wizard allows you to configure both the send and receive schedule for your SmallBusiness SMTP Connector and a receive schedule for the Microsoft Connector for POP3 Mailboxes.
The minimum time interval for downloading e-mail is 15 minutes.
