Use the cradle or cable included with your mobile device to connect your device to your desktop computer. The cradle or cable that connects your device might use a USB cable or serial cable. USB cables cannot be used with desktop computers running Microsoft® Windows NT® Workstation 4.0. Serial cables can be used with desktop computers running any type of Windows client operating system.

To create a connection, connect the mobile device to the desktop computer, and then follow the on-screen ActiveSync instructions. For more information, see Connect your mobile device.

  • To connect to the computer running Windows® Small Business Server by using the modem in your mobile device, see the person responsible for your network.
