Local Network Adapter Configuration (Additional)

Platí pro: Windows SBS 2003

You are installing Windows Small Business Server as an additional domain controller.

If Setup was able to contact the existing server and determine an IP address within the same range of IP addresses used in your local network, the default IP address, subnet mask, and DNS server values are provided. It is recommended that you accept these values.

If the IP address and subnet mask values are blank, you must enter values that are within the range of addresses used on your local network.

Notes

  • You must use a static IP address for the network adapter that will access your local network.

  • If you add Windows Small Business Server as an additional domain controller and your existing server is running a DHCP service, ensure that you create an exclusion in the DHCP scope for the IP address of the network adapter used by the computer running Windows Small Business Server.

  • Setup disables all network adapters on the server except the one used to access your local network. Your settings on the disabled adapters are preserved. After Setup is complete, the To Do List appears. Complete the Connect to Internet task to configure your Internet connection and enable your external network adapter.
