Ab dem .NET Framework 2.0 wird empfohlen, Instanzen mithilfe der XmlWriter.Create -Methode und der XmlWriterSettings -Klasse zu erstellenXmlWriter, um die neuen Funktionen zu nutzen.

Der Einzug wird für die folgenden Knotentypen ausgeführt: DocumentType, , ElementComment, ProcessingInstructionund CDATASection. Alle anderen Knotentypen sind nicht betroffen. Die XmlTextWriter interne DTD-Teilmenge wird nicht eingerückt. Sie können jedoch wie folgt vorgehen, um Formatierungen auf die interne DTD-Teilmenge anzuwenden.
