Removes server level forwarders from a DNS server.

Description

The Remove-DnsServerForwarder cmdlet removes one or more forwarders from the forwarders list of a Domain Name System (DNS) server. After you remove a forwarder from a DNS server, the DNS server stops forwarding the queries they cannot resolve locally to the DNS server.

Examples

Example 1: Remove a forwarder from a DNS server

PS C:\> Remove-DnsServerForwarder -IPAddress 10.0.0.8 -PassThru

This command removes the IP address 10.0.0.8 from the forwarders list on a DNS server.

Parameters

-AsJob

Runs the cmdlet as a background job. Use this parameter to run commands that take a long time to complete.

The cmdlet immediately returns an object that represents the job and then displays the command prompt. You can continue to work in the session while the job completes. To manage the job, use the *-Job cmdlets. To get the job results, use the Receive-Job cmdlet.
