Known issues

TFS web access extensions

  • Issue: If you use TFS web access extensions, and you upgrade to TFS 2015 Update 2, you may notice some issues that affect your extension. This occurs because JavaScript file locations are changed on the TFS server.

Workaround: To work around this issue, the extensions must be updated to be able to access the new location (<TFSInstallPath>\Application Tier\Web Services\_static\tfs\Dev14.M95\_scripts\TFS\debug). If you use the Multi-Value control, a new version is available here.

Testing tools

  • Issue: No test results are displayed on the Tests tab on the Release summary page when Environment is set to All and Group by is set to Test suite.

Workaround: To work around this issue, change the group to a different pivot, such as Test run, or select a specific environment in which to view test results.

TFS Agile Tools

  • Issue: On product backlog, if the mapping view is off and the work item Add Panel (quick create) isn’t open, you will receive an error when you bulk edit work items by selecting Edit selected work items(s)… in the context menu. You can dismiss the error and try again, and the operation will succeed.

TFS Build

  • Issue: If you have a build definition that has a check-in trigger, and you create a draft of that same definition and then try to trigger a build by making a check-in, you receive the following error message:

Your check-in validation could not be queued for build definition. Details: An item with the same key has already been added.

Workaround: To work around this issue, delete the draft build definition.

  • Issue: If you create a Maven build task, and you use SonarQube together with Maven, you see your credential in the build. This issue occurs only if you turn on debug and have a password that includes a backslash (\) or a double quotation mark (").

Workaround: To work around this issue, update the password.
