After successfully Configuring an Edge device in IoT Hub with initial OOBE setup of Azure Percept, Can Percept keep functioning and do inferencing without internet as well?

Since Azure Percept is an Edge AI solution and After successfully deploying AI models to the Edge device (Through Percept studio with internet obviously) it shall still work when there is no internet connection right?

So Can Azure Percept do inferencing even without Internet?

    Hello @vinitsawant-414,

I do not have an Azure Percept device, so I cannot confirm this 100%, but Azure Percept is based on Azure IoT Edge technology.

Azure IoT Edge is the runtime on which modules (docker containers) are deployed from the cloud.

This runtime supports being air-gapped (I have a demo device already disconnected for several years and each time I turn it on, it just starts running again).

Being air-gapped also means the configuration as-is cannot be updated. You need to connect to the cloud so the device gets the updated deployment manifest.

I expect the same behavior from Azure Percept.

Be aware the current version of Azure Percept is being deprecated next year.

I suggest checking out alternatives like vision on Azure IoT Edge or waiting for the next version.
