Percept DK : Wi-Fi connectivity not working if SSID is hidden

The Wi-Fi connectivity of our Percept DK device is successful only when the SSID is not hidden in the network. Has anyone tried to hide the SSID and connect successfully? If so, can you please let me know if you had to upgrade any of the runtime modules to make it work? Our device is brand new and we did update the firmware/OS to the latest version using the USB-C method but this problem remains.

@Kumar, Priya Is there a specific reason you would like to hide the SSID and connect to the Azure Percept DK?
This is how the device is connected to wifi : Connect your dev kit to a Wi-Fi network But let me check if there is a way to connect by hiding the SSID.

Our network team is strongly recommending that the SSID of the Wi-Fi network used by IoT devices should be hidden for security purposes. During the Percept device configuration, on the Network Connection screen, we found an option to add a hidden network, but it just does not connect. If you can please look into this and let me know your recommendation it would be great.

Hello,
We tried the below suggestion but not having any luck so far. There were 2 files in the /etc/wpa_supplicant folder: wpa_supplicant.conf and wpa_supplicant-wlan0.conf. Tried to add the below lines to the files 1 at a time but in both cases the hidden SSID did not work. Are we missing any steps?

@Kumar, Priya As mentioned, using OOBE to connect to hidden Wi-Fi networks is not supported. How ever, the work around provided is not tested against the Azure Percept device.

Hello @Kumar, Priya ,
The feature of using OOBE to connect to hidden Wi-Fi networks is not supported. However, the device itself supports this if the wpa_supplicant config file is manually configured via SSH. If you do a quick web search for "configure wpa supplicant hidden ssid”, you will some results to help move the project forward.
