DataGridView.OnReadOnlyChanged(EventArgs) Method

Raises the ReadOnlyChanged event.

 virtual void OnReadOnlyChanged(EventArgs ^ e);
protected virtual void OnReadOnlyChanged (EventArgs e);
abstract member OnReadOnlyChanged : EventArgs -> unit
override this.OnReadOnlyChanged : EventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnReadOnlyChanged (e As EventArgs)

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

The control changed from read-only to read/write, enabling the current cell to enter edit mode, but the EditType property of the current cell does not indicate a class that derives from Control and implements IDataGridViewEditingControl.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The OnReadOnlyChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnReadOnlyChanged(EventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnReadOnlyChanged(EventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
