Buy a Microsoft Action Pack for the first time

Appropriate roles: Global admin | User management admin | MPN partner admin | Admin agent

In Partner Center, members of the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) can purchase a Microsoft Action Pack.

If you're new to partnering with Microsoft, the first step is to join the Microsoft Partner Network. To join MPN, go to the membership page on the partner network site and select Join now when you're ready to sign up.

After you've successfully joined the partner network, follow the instructions on the partner network site (sign-in required) to buy your first Action Pack subscription.

Payment preference: Credit card vs electronic bank transfer

Credit card as method of payment

Follow these steps to complete your credit card payment:

  1. If you selected  Credit card  as your preferred method of payment, the Credit card details page appears.

  2. Select the  agreement  link close to the top of this page and review the MPN Offer Purchase Terms and Conditions on behalf of your company. This agreement offers important information about your billing account, renewal, refund eligibility, and taxes.

  3. Enter your credit card details and billing information in the related fields, then select Pay.

    Your payment will be collected through a third-party, secure payment gateway.

    Note

    Make sure the address you enter on this page corresponds to the address on your credit card. If the legal entity address differs from the address on your credit card, do not use your legal entity address on this Credit Card details page. Also, make sure the zip code is correct and corresponds to the address you enter on this page.

As soon as the credit card information is received and the transaction is completed, your Microsoft Action Pack will be activated immediately.

Electronic bank transfer as method of payment

Follow these steps to complete your electronic bank transfer to complete your purchase of a Microsoft Action Pack.

  1. If you selected  Electronic bank transfer  as your preferred method of payment, you will see the Review purchase details page.

  2. Select the  agreement  link toward the bottom of this page and review the MPN Offer Purchase Terms and Conditions on behalf of your company. This agreement offers important information about your billing account, renewal, refund eligibility, and taxes.

  3. Review the bank transfer details you will need.

  4. In Your selected purchase area, note the amount due to Microsoft and the specific currency fee. You will need to transfer that amount in that specific currency from your bank account.

  5. When you are satisfied you have all the information you need, select  Submit.

    Note

    Your  Order number  and  MPN ID  will appear as soon as you successfully  Submit  the order. Please make note of this information. You will need it later to complete your bank transfer.

  6. You will see a confirmation page indicating your submission was successful. After you complete the wire transfer with your bank, you will need to return to this page to upload your proof of payment.

  7. Complete the wire transfer from your bank account. Make sure to do the following:

    1. Include both the  Order number  and  MPN ID  in your wire transfer reference details.
    2. Transfer the amount due (in the currency noted earlier) to the Microsoft bank account shown in the prior page’s Wire transfer instructions  area.
  8. Once your bank confirms the transaction, take a photo of the bank confirmation as proof. Make sure the bank confirmation proof document shows details about:

    1. The date the wire transfer payment occurred
    2. The Microsoft bank account used to receive your wire transfer
    3. The transfer amount shown in proper currency
    4. Your Order number and MPN ID number

Switch from electronic bank transfer payment preference to credit card payment method

You might decide later to change your payment methods. For example, you might decide to use a credit card payment instead of an electronic bank transfer. Or, you may already have an unactioned electronic bank transfer order created in the system.

To change your payment preferences for an existing order, you first need to cancel the order, then repurchase it using your preferred payment method.

Do the following to cancel an existing, unactioned electronic bank transfer and change your payment preferences:

  1. Sign in to the Partner Center dashboard, select the Membership tile, then select Membership offers.
  2. In the Purchased offers list, locate the specific offer you want to cancel. Then, under the Action column for that offer, select Cancel Order.
  3. Follow the remaining steps to cancel the order:

Update your bill-to address

In the process of renewing or purchasing Microsoft Action Pack, you can validate your bill-to address.

  1. After selecting  submit, you can review the details of your purchase. Select  update  if you see that your address needs to be updated.
  2. On the  Legal profile  page, update your address.

Choose between the Microsoft Action Pack or the Learning Action Pack

As soon as the payment is successfully completed and activated, you will be prompted to choose between the two types of action packs that are offered: Microsoft Action Pack or the Learning Action Pack.

Carefully read the description of the two of action packs and choose the one that best suits your company’s needs. Once an option has been chosen and saved, this screen won’t be available anymore until your next renewal period and your preference for one of the action packs becomes permanent for the rest of the year.

Microsoft Action Pack renewal eligibility

If you are invited to renew your action pack in Partner Center, note that we've changed our renewal window policy and you can renew your subscription only after it expires. For example, if your subscription expires on June 22, you can renew it starting June 23 and for 30 days after. You can find your subscription's expiration date on your membership offers page (sign-in required). When you are eligible to renew in the Partner Center, follow the steps outlined here.

Note

Cloud benefits/IURs' activated on Microsoft 365 Admin Center portal will not be renewed automatically when you renew your Action Pack subscription. Redeem the cloud software subscription keys that are provisioned for your Action pack and extend the end date.

Download your Action Pack invoice

Go to your Membership offers page. Select Microsoft Action Pack Subscription to view your subscription details.

Select Download invoice.

Cancel your Microsoft Action Pack

To cancel your Microsoft Action Pack, submit a support request in Partner Center.
