My pc randomly crashed one day while i was playing minecraft, it wasnt unusual for it to deadlock but when i powered it back on after it crashed twice it gave me a blue screen that said my pc didnt start properly. I did manage to get the pc back on after that tho. A week or so passed and the pc worked perfectly fine no issues i didnt get back on the game tho. And i saw no blue screens. Well yesterday i tried to power my pc on and got the blue screen again so i tried to keep restarting it like i did the first time but no luck it was just a endless cycle. I tried to reset keeping files and it gave me a error saying the pc ran into a problem. Everything i tried to do said the pc couldn't restart properly. What am i supposed to do??? I even opened the pc and cleaned it up. I dont want to lose all my files on it is there a way i can take them off via my laptop or are they just lost? I want my pc to work but those files are also important

    Hello,

According to your description, now the issue changed to no boot. Here are some steps to take:

    Safe Mode and Backup

The first step is to try and boot your PC in Safe Mode. If successful, you will be able to access your computer with minimal drivers and functionality, but your files should be accessible.

When your PC starts, press the power button to turn it off before it fully boots up. Repeat this 2- 3 times and your PC should open a diagnostic menu.

From this interface, select “Troubleshoot”, then “Advanced options”, then “Startup Settings” and click “Restart”.

After the restart, you should see a list where you can select safe mode.

If you can access your files in Safe Mode, you can transfer them to an external hard drive or USB. If you have a backup tool, use it. If not, you can just copy/paste important files.

Then I suggest that update all drivers just like video card driver and so on.

    Check for Hard Drive issues

If your hard drive is failing, it may cause these kinds of issues. Repeat the process to get back to the troubleshoot menu, but this time select “Command Prompt”.

Once the command prompt is open, you’ll want to check your hard drive. Type “chkdsk C: /f /r /x” without quotes, and replace C: with the letter that identifies the partition where your OS is installed.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
