MSN Explorer: Remove and restore account information

To solve some problems, you may need to remove your MSN account information, including saved e-mail messages and security settings, from the computer. To retrieve this information, start the installation wizard again using the same e-mail address and password.

Print or write down these instructions. As you follow these instructions, MSN will close, and you'll no longer be able see the Help window.

  1. At the MSN sign-in screen, press CTRL+SHIFT+F11.

  2. Click Remove Account, and then click Yes.

  3. To restore your accounts, open MSN.

  4. On the Are you currently connected to the Internet? page, click the option that applies to you, and then click Next.

  5. On the Do you have an MSN e-mail address? page, click Yes, type your e-mail address and password, and then click Next.

  6. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  7. Sign in to MSN.
