MSN Explorer: Windows Live ID is unavailable
If Windows Live ID is unavailable, you can usually sign in to MSN and use MSN features that don't depend on Windows Live ID. Keep using MSN. You'll be signed in to Windows Live ID when the service is available.
If you're directed to a page that displays a "We can't sign you in online" error message when you try to sign in to MSN:
Check for network outages by visiting the Network Status page, and then selecting a service from the list.
Check for interference from firewall software on your computer.
Note
If you select the Quick web access check box on the Welcome screen when you sign in to MSN, you can browse the Internet even if Windows Live ID is unavailable or if you can't remember your password.
