How to Sign In to Your Email Using a Web Browser

You can use Outlook Web App to access your email account via a Web browser. The URL (Web address) you’ll use to sign in to Outlook Web App depends on the type of account you have. Outlook Web App can be used to access any email account that's hosted on a server that's running Microsoft Exchange Server 2010.

What URL do I use to sign in to Outlook Web App?

  1. Open your Web browser or, if it is already open, open a new window.

  2. Go to the URL that matches the type of account you have.

    Microsoft Live@edu

    Microsoft Business Productivity Online Standard Suite (BPOS)

    Cloud-based

    Go to URLs for Microsoft Online Services.

    Corporate email account

    On-premises (Microsoft Exchange Server)

    Go to the URL provided by the person who manages your email account. For example, a company named Contoso might use a URL such as https://mail.contoso.com.

    Note

    If you have a Microsoft Office 365 account, you can also access your e-mail through the Office 365 portal. To do this, sign in to your account at the Office 365 portal, and then click Outlook at the top of the page.

    Note

    If you have a Live@edu account, you may also be able to access your email through a customised URL created by the person who manages your email account.

  3. Enter the full email address for your ID.

  4. Enter your password.

  5. Click Sign In.

  6. You can also use the tick boxes to have the computer you're using remember your ID and your password. Don't select the tick box if you share the computer with other people.
