CSV File Samples for School Data Sync

Here we have small examples of each CSV file for each file format. Note that the Highlighted part is to reflect if the information is required for School Data Sync (SDS). We have sample files for SDS and UK Format CSV files available on our SDS GitHub Repository.

SDS Format CSV File Samples

Note

Microsoft recommends using the ISO 8601 format for all dates fields in the SDS CSV files, in the form of YYYY-MM-DD or YYYYMMDD. SDS is planning to introduce features in coming months which will require this format within the Term Start and End Date fields noted below.

Parent and Guardian CSV File Format

Note

The SIS ID field in the guardianrelationship.csv is tied to the students ID. If there is no Role associated the user will be assigned "Other" as a default role.
