Comments are deleted

In a thread for which the OP had accepted an Answer the OP then continued a discussion by posting some revised code as another Answer to the thread. Several comments were posted to this Answer by myself and the OP. Upon returning to Q&A I noticed that the Answer posted by the OP as well as all the related comments (including mine) had been deleted. There was no indication as to whether the deletion was made by the OP or a moderator.

Where there is no violation of Q&A policies I find it troublesome that someone other than me can delete my comments on a thread. I suggest that this be prohibited.

Up to 10 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 3.0 MiB each and 30.0 MiB total.

If you can provide the link to the thread then we can probably check the content of the deleted messages/comments

Is there a way for me to provide the link privately?

Hi,

Is there a way for me to provide the link privately?

Ronen common sentence: "There is always a way to do anything if you have the resources"

In the scope of the QnA system there are no private messages at this time. You can wait few months/years until this option will be added but probably this is not relevant

The forums are here to help everyone and not to provide one-on-one free support. If you need private support then you can request paid support instead of community support

There is no value to the community if you provide information in private and break the discussion

And these were my personal 2 cents on the topic

Comments here are threaded and right or wrong if someone deletes a parent answer (or comment) then the child also disappears.

Yet another reason the MSDN forums were superior to Q&A.

Once someone responded to a question on MSDN the OP could not delete the thread. They could remove their own posts, but could not remove the posts of other community members.

So far, Q&A remains a disappointment.
